Statistics of Racist and Neo-Nazi Crimes in Russia. January - November 2007
In the period of January 1 to November 30, 2007, in Russia, there were no less than 546 people attacked, including 57 fatalities. These figures do not include underreported attacks on homeless people (in 2007, there have been 4 murders of the homeless people which the police considers or suspects to be perpetrated be the neo-nazis) and on LGBT people (only in May, on the day when the gay pride event was to take place, no less than 10 people were beaten by the neo-nazis).
Another Neo-nazi Attack on an Antifascist Concert
On November 27, 2007, in Samara, on there way from a punk-festival, up to 6 antifascists were attacked and severely beaten by a group of around 30 nazi-skinheads.
International Network against Cyber-Hate Conference in Berlin
On November 8-9, 2007, the SOVA Center participated in the International Network against Cyber-Hate (INACH) Conference in Berlin.
Manifestation in Memoriam of Timur Kacharava in St. Petersburg
On November 13, 2007 in St. Petersburg, a memorial was held at the place on the same date two years before, Timur Kacharava, an anti-fascist activist and musician, was stabbed to death by a group of Neo-nazis.
Statistics of Racist and Neo-Nazi Crimes in Russia. January - October 2007
In the period of January 1 to October 31, 2007, in Russia, there were no less than 270 racially motivated attacks affecting a total of 472 people, including 53 fatalities. Last year in the same period, there were 220 attacks with 447 victims, 48 of them dying as a result.
