St. Petersburg authorities have allocated funds for the restoration of a mosque and synagogue

Authorities of St. Petersburg have allocated from the municipal budget funds to complete the restoration of the Cathedral mosque and the restoration of furniture of the Great Choral synagogue.

 

On December 18, 2013, it became known that the St. Petersburg authorities have allocated 44.5 million rubles for the continued restoration of the Cathedral mosque.

A contest was announced on the holding of the construction work. The contractor will be selected on February 5, 2014. Complete restoration is planned for by the end of 2014.

Furthermore, it became known that the city administration has announced a competition of the restoration and reconstruction of furniture of the Great Choral synagogue. The initial contract price is 10 million rubles.
