​ Moscow: A Brawl between Nazi Skinheads and Natives of the Caucasus

On Yelninskaya Street, skinheads singing nationalist chants had a fight with young men from the Caucasus.

On June 22, 2021, on Yelninskaya Street in Moscow, four Nazi skinheads clashed with a group of natives of the Caucasus.

The video posted to the Instagram account of one of the participants shows four individuals dressed in typical far-right style chanting xenophobic slogans (Russia for Russians, Moscow for Muscovites, Be Strong, Be Russian, Save Russia from Khachi (a slang word used to denote representatives of Caucasian nations) while crossing the street. That incensed several young people (presumably natives of the Caucasus), and a fight broke out between the two groups.

During the altercation, one of the far-right men threatened his opponents with a firearm. It has not been reported whether he actually used it.

According to media reports, four belligerents were detained. Two of them are 17 years old, and the other two are no more than 21 years old.
